TCM Cosmetology has been a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years since the ancient times till Qin & Han Dynasties in China from 770 BC to 220 AD. Women in China began complementing their looks with lipstick, nail polish and perfumes as far back as 3,000 years ago, and they have never stopped developing the use of cosmetics.

Consequently, TCM Cosmetology is a field that has been built from the past and is continuing to develop currently and in the future.

From then, many medical schools and various classics on medicine were brought into being in succession, each having its own strong points, for examples:-

“A scholar will die for one who recognizes his heart, a woman will doll herself up for the man who loves her.” (Zhan Guo Ce . Strategies of Zhao I), also know as (Strategies of Warring States)
「士為知己者死,女為悅己者容。」《战國策•趙策一》

“The issues of viscera inside the body must manifest themselves externally.” (Huang Di Nei Jin)
「有諸形于內,必形于外。」 《黃帝內經》

How does cosmetic acupuncture work?
The TCM approach to treat the face isn’t merely about the face, Louisa will focus on promoting the health of the entire body to enhance the appearance of the skin. It does not require the injection of foreign substances into the skin, instead, it just involves the insertion of extremely thin disposable needles into the acupuncture points, including the extra points on the face and along the pathways of 16 meridians system inside the body.

Based on the theory of “health inside makes beauty outside”, Louisa keeps on focusing in tonify the qi (energy) and blood circulation, balancing the Yin and Yang, eliminating the dampness. toxin and stasis on your face and the whole body that are safe, natural and do not appear artificial through different Chinese medical modalities of facial acupuncture, auricular(ear) acupuncture, moxibustion, Acu.-points massage/tuina, herbal medication during each individual treatment.

What happens afterward ?
• Softening the wrinkles and redness, or even reducing the dark circles/spots on the face by detoxify the body
• Improving the blood flow to the face as needles insertion on the face creating “microcirculation.”
• Stimulating the production of collagen and improving the skin elasticity to treat the droopy skin, associated with aging due to the depletion of natural collagen by creating the micro traumas on the face, and much more.
• Relatively, the diseases of the internal body, such as insomnia, emotional disturbance, constipation, issues of stomach and spleen, with or without blood deficiency and blood stasis, in which causing the harmful affect on the appearance of the body, might be relieved or eliminated through a period of treatments, in particular to the Weight Loss program.
